NASA astronauts Barry ‘Butch’ Wilmore and Sunita Williams must wait longer to return home, as they remain on the International Space Station while NASA exhausts all efforts to facilitate their return. Unfortunately, the timeline for their homecoming has once more been disrupted by the space agency. The astronauts were scheduled to return to Earth by June 13, but due to technical issues with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, their plans have been postponed indefinitely.
According to The Telegraph, NASA has indicated that additional time is needed to review the spacecraft, as it continues to experience unresolved thruster malfunctions. Furthermore, USA Today reports that helium leaks in the spacecraft are the primary cause of the delay.
