Apple is gearing up to introduce its next-generation MacBook Air models, expected to debut in March 2025, featuring the highly anticipated M4 chip. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the refreshed MacBook Air lineup will include both 13-inch and 15-inch display options, promising a significant performance boost over its predecessor, the MacBook Air M3, which launched in March 2024.

The new models, internally codenamed J713 and J715, will deliver enhanced processing power through the M4 chip, building on Apple’s recent introduction of the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips in the MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and iMac last October.

While specific hardware upgrades remain under wraps, rumors suggest Apple might equip the new MacBook Air with a Thunderbolt 4 port—an upgrade from the Thunderbolt 3 found in the M3 models. The laptops are likely to retain the vibrant Liquid Retina display, but Apple could introduce a variant with a nano-texture finish for improved glare reduction, similar to the MacBook Pro (M4, 2024).

Apple’s focus on integrating Apple Intelligence features into the new MacBook Air could further enhance user experience, offering smarter and more responsive performance.

Following the MacBook Air M4 launch, Apple might turn its attention to refreshing the Mac Studio (codenamed J575), potentially arriving between March and June 2025. However, there is still no confirmation on whether the Mac Pro will receive an M4 Pro or M4 Max upgrade this year.

As Apple readies its staff for the upcoming launch, fans and tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting more details, which could surface in the weeks leading up to the official announcement.
